Page 2, line 10, through page 3, line 1:                                                            
 Delete all material and insert:                                                                    
"* Sec. 2.  AS 09.55.548 is amended by adding a new subsection to                                 
read:                                                                                               
         (c)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, damages                                   
    may not be awarded in an action against a health care provider for                              
    professional negligence."
